Who is online coaching suitable for?

Online coaching is suitable for anyone who has health/fitness goals and need some guidance to help get them there. It is designed to be as accessible to all, providing a bespoke service which includes personalised programmes, accountability, progress tracking and communication with your coach which can all be accessed using your phone.

 

Is online coaching effective?

Yes, online coaching can be just as effective as in-person training. As your coach, I will work closely with you to personalise your  workouts as well as your calories and macros. You will have weekly check-ins with me to continually assess your progress and make changes as needed.  However, it is worth noting that online coaching is 50/50 - you need to also put in the work to get the results.

 

Do you offer budget-friendly coaching options?

Yes, we strive to make coaching accessible to all budgets. We have options available for those looking for affordable fitness solutions.

 

Are the workout programmes just for the gym or can I work out from home?

Programmes are entirely personalised to you, your goals, your level of experience and the equipment that you have access to. This means that you can choose to work out from the gym or  home. If you prefer, we can combine both home and gym workouts into your programme.

 

Can I combine online personal training with my own training (GAA) ?

Yes, many clients choose to combine personal training with a sport. Many athletes, including those who play GAA sports like Gaelic football, hurling, and camogie, benefit from a well-rounded training program that includes both sport-specific training and general fitness work.

 

How can I get started with Online Coaching Services?

Simply register your interest through the form on the "Contact" page, or else you can contact me via WhatsApp (0871007717)  to discuss your fitness goals. From here we can set up your FREE virtual consultation and get you started.

What does "Nutritional Guidance" mean?

The term nutritional guidance is used, as I am a personal trainer, however I am not a registered dietitian and therefore I do not prescribe meal plans. 

What I can offer you is personalised Macronutrient targets based on your metrics and your goals, education around nutrition, meals ideas/recipes and help you identify and correct common unhealthy food habits, like overeating or choosing less nutritious options.

Together, we can work on developing mindful eating strategies and make healthier choices that complement your fitness goals, 

 

How can I track my progress with HOD Coaching?

When you first sign on as a client with HOD Coaching, we will have a goal setting session. This is where we outline some S.M.A.R.T goals for you and base your plan around this.

Progress tracking (weight, measurements, progress photos and workout data) will be tracked on a weekly basis through your HOD Coaching Log provided to you. 

This will be assessed each week and adjustments will be made to your plan based on this feedback and your weekly check-ins. 

 

How much communication can I expect from my coach?

Weekly Check In: 

As part of your coaching, I offer a weekly check-in. A weekly check-in form will be provided to you which you can fill out from your phone.

This will include Progress Updates, Training and Nutrition Feedback and you may be asked to submit some videos of exercise form so that I can provide you with in-depth feedback each week.

Message Support:

The primary channel of communication I use with my clients, outside of their HOD Coaching Logs is WhatsApp. This allows clients to ask questions when dealing with challenges such as lack of motivation, plateaus, exercise technique etc. 

Monthly Client Calls:

This is optional, but many clients opt to have a monthly check-in call to assess your progress or focus on specific areas like form correction or nutrition.
